The Electronic Notarization (eNotarization) Task Force met on July 13, 2006 to discuss a myriad of topics affecting electronic notarization in California.
The eNotarization Task Force is chaired by Craig Page, the Vice President and Legislative Counsel of CLTA. The Honorary Chair of the task force is California’s Secretary of State Bruce McPherson. Membership of the Task Force represents law enforcement, notaries, the title and escrow industries, real estate professionals, county recorders, lenders, and other interested parties. The eNotarization Task Force agenda for the July 13th meeting was fairly extensive and resulted in quite a bit of discussion from the attendees. The agenda will covered a variety of subjects ranging from a review of the eNotarization standards drafted by the National eNotarization Commission to industry demonstrations of e-solutions by Countrywide and Stewart Title.
