Bulletin 06/07-154 - June 26, 2007
Please read the following important information from the Attorney General’s office regarding the re-submission of the ERDS Regulations Package to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL).
Background
The Electronic Recording Delivery System (ERDS) Program, a subdivision of the Attorney General’s office, has received the ERDS Regulations package from the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) internal review. The date for re-submission to the OAL was Monday, June 25, 2007.
What steps remain in the implementation of the ERDS?
The OAL has 30 days for their review and approval; the projected date for completion of their review is July 23, 2007. The regulations package will then be forwarded on to the Secretary of State for filing, and would become effective 30 days thereafter; the anticipated implementation target date would thus be August 22, 2007.
Regulation Text
The updated text of the regulations and the Final Statement of Reasons will be available for review on the ERDS web page, located at http://ag.ca.gov/erds1/index.htm, by no later than Wednesday, June 27, 2007.
