The Modesto Bee Displays Importance of Title Insurance
Last week, the Modesto Bee wrote a package of three articles pertaining to a significant title problem in Stanislaus County. CLTA representatives were able to speak with the Bee reporter (Patrick Giblin) and contribute information as he put together this package of stories.
The articles focused on a situation in the City of Salida in which a homeowner filed an errant grant deed that mistakenly changed the ownership records of 46 other properties. Importantly, the Bee articles point out the complexities of real property records and the importance of using the services of a title company when changing records.
