California Supreme Court Hears Redevelopment Case
The California Supreme court heard oral arguments on November 10th on a challenge to the elimination of redevelopment agencies that was part of the state budget deal reached earlier this year. The budget deal essentially eliminated redevelopment agencies, only permitting them to continue if their funding was basically used to help balance the state budget. The Supreme Court fast tracked the case and a ruling is expected by mid-January.
