Wage Lien Bill Fails on Assembly Floor
Wage earners in the car wash industry would have been entitled to place a “wage lien” against real and personal property of employers that failed to pay wages under AB 2517 (Eng). The wage lien would have held superpriority status under the legislation. CLTA opposed the bill, which recently failed on the Assembly Floor.
