California Real Estate Commissioner Issues Warning on Short Sale Fraud
With the rise of short sale fraud in California, the Department of Real Estate is reaching out to lenders in an effort to discuss and identify short sale fraud issues. Over the last several months, DRE has received a number of complaints involving short sale transactions. CLTA members should be aware of the DRE activity in short sale fraud and their outreach to lenders. An article further detailing this issue is slated to appear in the September edition of the CLTA Hot Sheet.
