CLTA Dismissed From Lawsuit
The CLTA has been dismissed from a lawsuit involving a title claim related to a CLTA member company. The CLTA was named in what amounted to a claims dispute between an insured and a title insurance company. The spurious claim against the CLTA was based on alleged advertising material on the CLTA website. The judge in the San Luis Obispo Superior Court granted the CLTA’s demurrer in a ruling entered on November 18th.
