CLTA Works with Legislator to Modify Assessment Bill
The California Land Title Association worked with Assemblyman Beall on technical amendments to AB 2613 (Beall), a bill that would allow local governments to assess unpaid fines and penalties against real property owned by the responsible party. The modifications focus on creating consistency with current lien and assessment practices. The amendments will be added to the bill when further action is taken on the bill in the Legislature.
