NAIC Takes Steps Toward National Stat Plan During Summer Meeting
It appears that the NAIC Title Insurance Issues Working Group has the go ahead from another key NAIC Group to move forward on expanding the type of rate codes used by title insurers and creating a new state page to collect additional data from title insurers.
The Title Insurance Working Group is also considering conducting a state survey relating to collecting data from title agents. Here in California Department of Insurance has just filed new statistical plan regulations governing data collection so the CLTA will be discussing the NAIC action with the Department to see how it might impact the new California statistical plan.
